Last weekend was a blast. We were at the Midlands Alpaca Championship Show at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern. It was the first show of the year and oversubscribed with 170 alpacas.

Normally the judge will have around 120 alpacas in a day but Jay Holland had to really motor to finish.

Our show team, mostly juniors, did well even if a little hesitant about walking into the show ring. Three were champions, Jasmine, Ninetta and Margot, with Lenore and Florian reserve champions.

Margot, who is an absolutely gorgeous little lady (shown right), also won Judge’s Choice.

Back on the farm the fields are slowly drying out and the flowers are emerging, are they mad? We had a frost this morning. The pink camellia is always first and the snowdrops with my daffs and primroses easing themselves slowly into life!
