British Alpaca at its best

Small price rise coming though we are afraid. However, since we are all British alpaca yarns most of our cost increases from processors are blamed on minimum wage, pension contributions and energy rises so we are able to carry most of this. The one exception is the silk we use in the baby alpaca blend. We have had huge increases there, attributed to the $/£ exchange rate and world price increases. We do our best to manage costs and keep our lovely yarns competitive, so hope you will find our small increases bearable.

UK Alpaca is proud to offer you this alpaca yarn made from the fleeces of alpacas farmed in Britain and Ireland.  One of the noble fibres, alpaca is softer, more luxurious, stronger and more resilient than the finest sheep wool.

UK Alpaca is a family business run by Chas Brooke and Rachel Hebditch from our farm in Devon. We have 100 pedigree alpacas on farm and buy fleece clips from over 120 other alpaca farms in the UK. The fleece is hand graded and classed by us on our farm before being sent for processing to our yarn specifications in and around the Yorkshire Area.

Our high quality, luxury alpaca tops are blended with a little silk or wool and spun fully worsted to create luxurious dyed and natural yarns with British provenance.
