Slugs and Snails, the bane of many a gardeners’ life, can be persuaded not to chomp on plants by using alpaca fibre. This low grade, unwashed alpaca fibre is so water repellent and dry that no self respecting slug wants to crawl over it.

Arrange it around the plants and you have a slug and snail barrier.

Its second useful property is that alpaca fibre is warm, as anyone who has worn our Posh Socks will know, so it conveys that little bit of extra heat to both soil and plant.

We have bags of our own short, low grade mixed colour fibre in 500 gram and one kilo bags. It has not been washed so you might find the odd bit of organic matter.

UK Post Code Destinations

All orders up to 5kg will be dispatched with Royal Mail with a choice between Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 service. For guaranteed next day we offer an APC Overnight service. If your order exceeds 5kg you will be asked to contact us for a delivery quote. Royal Mail delivery times can be found on their website.

EU Destinations

All orders up to 2kg will be dispatched with Royal Mail International Tracked service. for a flat fee of £9.95. For orders over £100 we now offer FREE delivery.

For orders up to €150 (excluding postage costs) your country VAT will be added to your shopping cart at checkout (the IOSS system), enabling the local postal company to deliver without any further payment demands.

For order values over €150 we suggest making two orders to enable the IOSS VAT system to be used. We will refund any excess postage charges made by you on the second order.

Otherwise orders over €150 will not go through the IOSS system, so no VAT will be charged at checkout and you will be asked by your local delivery service to pay the VAT prior to delivery.

For orders over 2kg you will be directed to contact us for a delivery quote.

Rest Of World Destinations

We now offer a flat £9.95 per order for all USA and Canadian destinations and FREE delivery on orders over £100, This applies to order weights up to 2kg and will be dispatched with Royal Mail International Tracked service.

If you have created an account online or when you enter your delivery address the system will automatically deduct the British 20% VAT. Your local postal delivery company will require any duty and sales tax due to be paid for prior to or at delivery. For larger orders we reserve the right to select an alternative international carrier.
