Exhaustion reigns, honestly we are dead ducks after a weekend at the British Alpaca Society National Show in Telford, followed by a flying visit home and then London and the Stitch Festival at the Business Design Centre.
We were very pleased that our intermediate white male Titian came first in his class and that his sire Houghton Placido was second in the Sire’s Progeny group class. There were 13 different groups in the ring, that is 33 alpacas, so a bit of a squish. Our group, Titian, Roma and Artemisia, all intermediates, won this last year when they were juniors.
Sunday and Monday nights in our own bed and after feeding the alpacas and packing the van, off to London on Tuesday. This show comes with extras. I saw two of my granddaughters, one still a baby, on Friday evening and on Saturday afternoon the madcap grandsons came to the show for tea, cake and chaos.
Of course, we did do some work as well, on the stand for four days straight!
