Disco, our cat, has a lot to answer for. I heard him thrashing about in the night torturing a rodent. Next morning no mouse, no corpse, no Disco. I have some fleece lined trousers, akin to wearing a duvet. Put them on and felt something warm and possibly moving on my knee. I did not scream. Removed trousers, nothing, dash to back door, turned trousers inside out and there was the mouse, bright eyed, unharmed and happily outside. What a way to start the day.

Last week we delivered some alpaca fibre for a client of the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston. Now many of you will remember Cyd who used to work for us and lives in Launceston. I can report that she is well, working on her crochet, surrounded by five dogs and two, possibly three, cats. Secondary purpose as we were in the white van was to drop into the Cullompton MoleValley to get a Christmas tree. DONE!

This weekend we had our first Christmas with eldest son, his partner and two grandchildren. A bird, a candlelit dinner, flaming pud, crackers and presents. And the inauguration of the rolling hay bales down the hill game. It was dry all weekend but still too wet to drive down the slopes to fill the hay mangers.
