Slow fashion is the name of the game for Neil Wildman-Whitten who makes hand dyed, hand woven and hand finished products for his company Just Wool Textiles.
He has been hand-weaving for over ten years, self taught, after illness prevented him from going out to work.
Neil writes: ‘Initially, it was a hobby, but I enjoyed it so much, that the hobby became a business.
I offer alpaca, from UK Alpaca, as an option for all my creations. I weave a design for the Gurkha Welfare Trust, who only wanted the alpaca for their work and customers are always amazed at the softness.
The photographs show me, the Gurkha scarf and a rainbow throw that was crafted in the alpaca, which I’m told is still a faithful travel companion.’
