Our wholesale customers mean a great deal to us and we look forward to hearing about all the amazing products they make with our yarn. First up is Emma Adeane of Gorgeous Alpacas.

Emma Adeane runs Gorgeous Alpacas, which specialises in creating knitting and crochet kits using alpaca yarns from UK Alpaca. The business started in 2019, after Emma and her husband Henry bought three male alpacas to graze on their smallholding. After two years of trying to give the yarn away to friends and still having too much, Emma created a few knitting kits to go with the yarn, attended a local Christmas fair, and sold out. In 2021 Gorgeous Alpacas moved fully online, and the team now includes a technical editor, four knitwear designers, and two sample knitters.

As for the original three alpacas, they have been joined by a young black male alpaca and two sheep.

As well as running this business, Emma runs a gardening business recovering lost gardens when tenants move out of rental properties, and Henry is an in-demand psychotherapist (supervisor, teacher, and private clients).
