We have had a lot of weather, enough rain to last a very long time, sharp frosts, some snow and now sunshine. It makes a change from slithering down the fields either on icy grass or mud. All the youngsters have been weaned and are getting used to life without their dams and some of them are almost dry!

Getting them dry enough to choose a show team has been challenging but we made it before the closing date for entries to the Midlands Show next weekend. Started halter training a bit late but fingers crossed they don’t kick the judge

I have done my month of no physical work after eye operation number one and I am now desperately trying to finish grading fleece before eye operation number two on January 30 followed by another month of forced recuperation. Still I will be able to write a very large cheque for new glasses that work for both eyes!
