This time of year is all about cria and many more have arrived since the last newsletter. We now have eighteen girls and nine boys on the ground, a great ratio. However, Sod’s Law will probably prevail and the next fifteen will all be boys!
We were thrilled to get some rain, really? Are we bonkers? Our grass needed it and we had to start feeding hay as everyone was getting hungry. A bit of a shock for the humans, cold too, and big jumpers came out of storage.
The next stage of this annual process is breeding and we’ll be deciding who to mate to whom this weekend. Some of the older girls will be retired as we have a big group of younger girls ready to start their breeding life and two young males Roma and Titian who we want to try out.
