Goodbye mud and hello Toby, Timon and Aragon

Goodbye mud and hello Toby, Timon and Aragon

It is dry at last and the mud is going, what a relief. Our grass in the fields we are resting is starting to grow but we are north facing and quite high up so progress is slow. The alpacas are not wet and nor is the grass so hay consumption has slowed down which is just as well as there is not much of it about.

We have started to halter train the weanlings and these three boys, Toby, Timon and Aragon are the first on the sales list. Hopefully we will find loving homes for this trio soon. Three is the minimum number as alpacas are herd animals and need their mates.

It is amazing how quickly things change with daffodils everywhere and my camellias are an absolute picture.
