From Farm to Marlybone

From Farm to Marlybone

We’ve been whizzing around a bit, first the new TexStyle show in Manchester and then the Stitch Festival in London, landing back on the farm Monday afternoon. Tuesday was catch up day and on Wednesday I was out in the hailstorms doing the feed and hay rounds. But not for long. Casting off my work clothes and donning a frock I got the train back to London and my daughter in law Serena Kutchinsky’s book launch. She works full time and has spent much of her spare time for the last two years up in the attic writing Kutchinsky’s Egg, a true story. The book cover says it is a story of love, loss and obsession and it certainly is, my copy arrived today and I am looking forward to reading it.

The Gaunt bookshop in Marylebone is a beautiful space with a gallery running round the room, the grandchildren loved it up there and Serena, like Juliet, made her speech from the balcony. The place was rammed which can only be good for sales, fingers crossed.
