These Speckledy yarns are a melange creating a deep speckledy colour reminding us of our colourful flock of chickens. We used a mix of black, dark brown and red brown fibre blended with a white wool to give the natural grey shade which is then overdyed to give the other shades in the range.

Description

The Superfine Speckledy range of yarns has a gorgeous soft handle with good loft that knits up beautifully. The yarns are 75% British superfine alpaca blended with 25% wool and manufactured mainly in the UK.

These Speckledy yarns are a melange creating a deep speckledy colour reminding us of our colourful flock of chickens. We used a mix of black, dark brown and red brown fibre blended with a white wool to give the natural grey shade which is then overdyed to give the other shades in the range.

The alpaca in our yarns is sourced from our own herd and from alpaca farms based in the UK & Ireland.

This is a proven blend that offers increased resistance to shedding and pilling and adds loft and substance to the yarn.

  1. Susie Holden (verified owner)

I first saw this exceptional yarn at the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace. The muted speckledy jewel colours, the handle and incredible softness drew me in. I now have 10 balls of the blue and green which look beautiful together, and will make a wrap or small cardigan.

Thanks Susie, this range of yarns has become one of our most popular and we love it as well.
