Description
The Baby Alpaca & Silk range of luxury yarns utilise the very best British alpaca fleeces, primarily from the first shearing, and selected by hand for ultimate softness. The yarns are 80% British baby grade alpaca blended with 20% Tussah silk and manufactured mainly in the UK. The alpaca in our yarns is sourced from our own alpacas and those from alpaca farms in the UK and Ireland.
This is a proven blend that offers increased resistance to shedding and pilling in this delicate yarn and gives improved loft and substance whilst still retaining its wonderful softness.
A sumptuous soft handling yarn with great brightness and strength. The ultimate alpaca yarn.

A friend of mine has knitted a baby shawl for me in this yarn and it is sooooooo soft, bouncy and luscious and will be an heirloom in years to come. I can see the yarn working well as a shawl or scarf and particularly for those allergic to wool. Highly recommended.
Chas Brooke –
Thank you Nicola, very kind of you and hope you and the baby are doing well

I’m not a very competent knitter but with the help of a you-tube video to get me started, I am knitting a cowl in the raspberry/strawberry shade following one of your patterns. (Wish I’d realised it is available as one of your knitting tins so I would have a lovely tin too!)
I find that sheeps wool makes my skin itch but Alpaca or silk yarns do not.
I am so in love with this alpaca/silk yarn. It is just so soft (and surprisingly strong) that the yarn feels lovely while I’m knitting without any of that prickly feeling you get from knitting wool and feels just wonderful against your neck.
I will most definitely be buying more and never knit with sheeps wool again!
Chas Brooke –
Thank you Diana, yep nothing better! Happy knitting and so glad you are enjoying your project.
